Congratulations to Emily & Tom who married at Plum Park on the 27th December 2015. It was a gorgeous winter wedding and being only a couple of days after Christmas, it felt very intimate and festive too.
Lisa covered Emily’s bridal preparations at home – the dress was a stunning lace and beaded Maggie Sottero gown with winter perfect accoutrements – a fur stole, pearl earrings and a bejewelled hairpiece, a jewelled snowflake and lace garter along with stunning bouquets of white roses, gerberas and pine cones for her and her maids.Meanwhile, Ady caught up with Tom and his groomsmen before making their way to St. Nicholas Church in Potterspury. A sweet little church nestled in a picturesque village and filled with lots and lots of christmas trees all decorated in different ways by local children. So pretty!
It was threatening to rain after Emily & Tom’s ceremony but we were lucky it held off long enough for them to move outside for the longest confetti aisle we have ever seen! We then took a few formal shots using the beautiful church as the backdrop. After some couple shots we moved on to Plum Park for Emily & Tom’s reception – they travelled in great style in a VW camper van too! Plum Park is a privately-owned boutique hotel and event venue set in rolling Northamptonshire countryside, 2 miles south of Towcester. The Victorian manor house and courtyard are surrounded by manicured parkland and formal gardens. The manor house has been lovingly restored to its former glory while the courtyard has been sympathetically converted into luxury hotel accommodation. The venue was lovely and welcoming with roaring fires and mulled wine on arrival; much needed as the temperature was dropping along with the daylight. As it was the end of December we had until 4.30pm until we lost the daylight completely therefore had planned with Emily & Tom that we would take them out into the gardens earlier so that we had enough time to capture the beauty of the surroundings with them using as much natural light as we could. We were so pleased with their couple shots!
Just before sundown we arranged an ‘everyone’ group shot (as we had more room at Plum Park than at the church) – we took a large overall shot as well as this close up. We love this shot for the faces!
We loved Emily & Tom’s warm winter wedding style – white & green, flowers & pine cones, roaring fires, mulled wine in mugs, hessian and bunting, fire bowl & marshmallows…. perfect! Here our a few of our favourite photos from Emily & Tom’s wedding day.
